Despair & Hope
Despair and Hope are the biggest companion; Hope is the ember that flickers within, A flame that burns so light and thin, It sheds light on the darkness of life, And blazes through doubt and endless strife. Despair, how does it consume? A suffocating weight, a heavy fume, It grips the heart, with the iron hold, Darkness that does mind the enfold. It's the bridge that spans the chasm wide, And the silver lining in every stormy sky, A beacon of promise in the depth of despair, A guiding star in the murky air. A sense of loss, a feeling of defeat, A lost battle, with no victorious feat, A downward spiral, it pulls you in, A journey of pain, it seems to win. So let Despair, feel, look, and weigh, And let it slowly slip away; Just like Hamlet and Yoricks doth strive, To vanquish despair and help it revive.
